Dear friends,

I know it has been very long since I last post on this blog. I do apologize for not saying good bye but it was kind of hard to do so and as the days and weeks and month went by I just did not have the time to come back and update the blog on a regular basis. Besides life has been crazier than ever in Haiti.

It takes a lot of courage and energy to live in Haiti, most of us live on so much stress. Thieves are everywhere, people are being attacked on broadlight day. Thieves have broken into my house twice (second time we had the time to call the police - although the police did nothing at all) after that it took me quite a while to get back to normal. Always stressed and jumpy, could not sleep, could not eat could not function properly and everytime things seems to get (less worst - not much better, the news of someone you know that has been gunned down while leaving the bank, or getting home late or have been kidnapped would drag me right back to the starting point. Therefore between so many bad news, the politician and the new president of Haiti we can't ask for worst and life is far from being pink.

The whole situation kept me away from my blogs for very long. Too long maybe. And then one day I started to pray, not that I did not pray before but this time it was different, I started to have long conversation with my God and ask him to give me more strength and faith and courage and suddenly my life started to get better (not that the situation in Haiti is better) but my personal life gets richier and I have learned to cop with the environment - not as I would want it but as it is when there is no other choice.

And I decided that I had to come back to my craft room, so I undust everything and started to create again. These moments brings me peace of mind and help me live through the everyday struggle of life in Haiti.

I will no longer keep this blog or my 3 other blogs. It is too much time consuming but instead I have decided to gather everything under one roof and that is how my webgallery was born. Unfortunatelly there is no room for posting and although I made the site myself with the help of a site builder I still have not figured out how to add room for comments (If anyone can help with that I will appreciate) or even to add a feed. But still you can browse my web and find all my crafts : scrapbooks, zentangles, dolls, sewing craft, beading, stitching and much more. There are a lot of pictures waiting to be uploaded and I tried to do so at least twice a week as I do not have much time left due to my responsabilities.

So if you can browse my webgallery once a week you will always find something new although I have to figure out also how to add the little flashy tag "new" next to a tab (lot of learning to do during the process).

It hurs be as been about 2 month since I last post on my blog. Well, first of all my job is actually sucking most of my time, it is a frenzy/frantic type of duty.
December was loaded with projects with my different artisans group. I have been creating very little scrapbooking althoughworking on different projects now. Hope to have enough time to upload the lasts minibooks I made.
This year should be better than the last one and I am confident that God almighty has thousand of good things in box for me and also for YOU.

A small book inspired by a three panels card I received. I used the paper from the Jubilation collection of Club Scrap. The cover is hardboard book and Embellished with clip, ribbons, brads etc...

Inside pages are simple and not embellished. I just realize that the blue and the pink are so bright that it I prefer to leave the pages all blank.

I have used this small box to make and album. I think I saw something much alike in the cinema of club scrap. I painted the box with alcohol ink in the front and the back. I used two boxes.

Then I stitched few signatures together and sandwiched them betwen the back of both boxes.

Actually the book can be open on both sides so there are no front or back. Ripped piece of paper stamped with a club Scarp stamp collection,

Inside the first cover I glued some charmsm shells, buttons and other small treasure. A piece of paper is the witness of another year of collecting memories.

The other front/back cover with more charms and small stuffs glued inside.

This is a mini album I made a while back when I first started altering dominoes. I first bleached the dominoes over night then colored them eith alcohol ink. Six dominoes used for the front and 2 differents ribbons for the closure.

Signatures are sewed together.

The following album is vintage, my favorite subject. I did it for a swap and already send it to my swap partner Telina. This is a flip album which can be open and used on both side (front and back cover) The front cover is distressed chipboar with MU ink. I stamped and embossed it also. Every pieces on the cover are also distressed. I hammed the button a bit. The leaf charm just hang there.

All inside pages are distressed and most of them embossed. I have a lot of ink and vintage stuff. These additional pages when you flip the book

The back cover is done just the same as the front.

I was re-reading the news letter from Debi Devitt and I came across that project she mentionned having found on another site. I cut some chipboard and paint them with with- black and brown acrylic. Then I distressed the borders. Before gluing the two rectangular chipboards I make 5 small holes and put an eyelet in each one. The small metal says "Enter" is a small piece of light color metal embossing sheet that I tornes a bit. With a lighter I slightly burned the surface and glue after on the chipboard. At last apiece of wire form the hook which I fixed with a large brad.Inside pages are folded as an accordeon.Sayonara!!!

I have wanted to make this album for a while. All the elements were piled on my scrap table for month. Finally I did it and I am totally satisfied with the result. The closure is kind of loose but as soon as pictures are stuffed in it will stay sturdy.

All the papers used are from the 7 gypsies. I love that company because they are either very vintage or totally colorful just like the gypsies. I buy a lot of embellishments from them. At the beginning the book was suppose to be on the right side and then wrap all over with the cover and then I forgot and I glued papers on the other side also and I realize it could work both way so this is how the ended being so huge.I have added about 30 pages on each side But could not upload all the pages.

Cover is embellished with a metal brad that came into the kit. In fact all the embellishments used came with the kit.

This is a small kit I have received from Paper wishes a while back. I love the subtility of the colors and how they look in this flag book.I think the ideas of having each page with a letter to from a wrd is wonderful. I am already thinking to make a personalized book with a baby name.Back cover is plain and simpleSayonara!!!

I did all these minis in about 4 hours. I was inspired by Tricia's show on the club scarp cinema. Of course it was a good way to use part of my scrap papers.

Sometimes I think I have more scrap papers then papers actually and I try to use them as much as I can. I cover all chipboard with papers and made a small tag and stamped the word "sweet".

This is an accordion album therefore both side are available for embellishment which I have not done yet.

For the back cover I used a stencil from clubscrap and sprayed it with mist paint.Sayonara!!!

The squares paper on the cover of the book are from the Soltice collection of Club Scrap and the gray paper is from DCWV.

I just love flag books, they are so refreshing. I realized that common people (non-scrappers of course) are amazed ehrn I open a flag book in front of them. It's a book with lots of movements and balance

I made this minibook with coasters. I glued two coasters together and inked all edges. I really got out of the box and mixed textures with stamped and some embossing also.

I made it for hubby to put some pictures we took during a nice trip we made in november of last year driving southall the way down to the tip of the island and returning all the way up by the coast. It was incredible.

But at the fair last december there were this honeymooners from France who loved it much more than us and we sold it to them.

I saw the pine book made by Kate in the Clubscrap and I thought it was a wonderful idea. I had my own boxes made for me. The are not pine but pressboard. I could custom them as I wish. The first one is sprayed with black piant and then treated with matt spray.In each of the eight squares I glued some charms and cover the box with a clear scrap from Grafix. The book is sewed then each flap is glued on one box.

I painted the letters with acrylic in dark blue - they were light blue - then put some resin on them. In the pile of cd's I found two small ones. I left the second one to make a "girl" hanger.

Lately I have been collecting useless compact disc from my friend and in two week I had about 60 of them. And I have started to make albums with scrap papers. I have used some stickers for the front cover. The "I am" are bottlecaps flatten with a hammer. Added few charms on a chain and that was about it.

Few inside pagesI have written something on each page. Boy was it hard to write in circle! I did it with a pencil first and then I used a black pen.

This stamp from club scrap collection turned out to be my favorite lately. I have used it in practically every single card I have made to give away during the past days and using it on a paper bag album was the last step.

There goes another album made with paper bags. I cut the title with my cuttlebug and use the negative part of the letters "T" and "S" then rolled them on my xyron sticker machine. Embellished with buttons and fibers.

Unfortunately I could not get the book to stay open in order to take a picture of the inside pages and nobody around to help. But you can at least get a glimpse.

Bag pages inside are decorated with paper also. Cover is made out of bookboard.

I had a pack of paper bags collecting dust on my working table for a while. I had bought it at Carribean market the one that collapsed.

Here I was just staring at it trying to remember if I had bought it the same day of the earthquake or the day before. Well I still do not recall but I thought it would be a good thing to make an album...to remember...in fact to make several paper bag albums.

For the cover I have used papers from Private Eye club Scrap collection. The sticker is a piece of foam I printed on. Inside pages are matted with design paper. Let me share with you something cool I discovered by accident: I made a circle with a punch and I folded it in half. Then with a small puncher I made two circles - one on each side of the folded circle - and there was tag. Cool! Back cover

I am back

My life has been very intense during the last weeks. It's been only two month but it could have been as well two years. I was away for few days but since I returned last friday I burried myself in the scraproom for 3 days basically. I would emerge only to grab something to eat. It was a great urge of doing something with my hands to liberate my mind from so much worries. Well the only thing I can say for now is that I am back and it feels extremely good.

My first update will be few altered canvas I made for children. I remember them with so much tender and love. I praise their innocence and their desire to live and to embrace life. My only regret is that I did not have enough time to gather supplies and do some scrapbook with them but just few cards but they had fun doing so also. After 3 full days in the scraproom doing hundred things, these are the first projects I will be posting.

The following canvas was covered first with Aleene's glue than I printed a paper on the PC with a childish font and embellishesd the canvas with buttons and miniature clothes pins. The regular cloth pin was painted with acrilic and covered with glaze.

This one is a flat canvas. I distressed the border with colorbox chalk ink and stamp it a little with and image from the Soltice collection of Club Scrap. I cut some wooden stick with the Gator paper and painted them all with acrilic. I spelled the name Sebastian. Cut some square foam with edge scissors and finally glued two small cars on the canvas.
The following canvases were basically the same process but the wooden stick are small spoons. The first one is for Chloe my niece and the other for a nice little girl named Salome. This canvas is my favorite although there is no spot for pictures. It was the first one I did while I was thinking about the children lying down in the hospital.

Earthquake in Haiti

Anne Geddes's precious babies.

I always had this special love for, Anne Geddes photos. I have been collecting them over the years and I realized I could merge my two passion together so I decided to make an album with Anne Geddes pictures.
The book is embellished with pink and blue baby ribbon and also added few brads. Then I painted a Domino with "Anne Geddes" name on it and use it as a charm hanging on the book. And to finish the cover I glued a Tim Holtz fragment where I previously wrote "Snap Shots" on it. The closure is two ribbons also " for boy and girl".The book cover is DCWV paper and a rub-on " Miracle".
I have used four folders to make the book and one of Sara's surface folders was the first template. All glittered papers are DCWV. This mini album holds about 75 photos in different sizes cut I am just going to show off a few.Another view Back cover Sayonara!!!

I have found a place in DR that can custom made my shadowboxes and my frames for me. These are the firsts frames I have embellished. All of them are spray painted with acrylic. I drilled two holes in order to pass the ribbon thru the frame add the turtles, fowers, and domino stamped with a " A day to remember forever" The other frames are sprayed with black paint

After seing a video from dawn's studio. I decided to make a flip book but with cd pockets. Then I did it. But after staring at the book for a while I was still unsatisfied until it hits me that I could do my own cd pockets...my own way. And I did.

I used the nestabilities to make the holes and apply a transparency in the back.Sayonara!!!

Dream with me

I have been working on few shadow boxes lately. I discovered a small store in DR where I can order my custom made boxes, photo holder, birdhouse and a thoudand other things done with pressboard.

The boxes are decorated with different themes. In the first one I have worked with tiles and dominoes. The dominoes were soaked overnight in chlorox and I applied alcohol ink on them the next day and for the finish I used resin.

The box is spray painted in blue. Besides the dominoes I mated the box with cardstock to put the photos. This box can hold 3 pictures and added also few pewter beads.

I have been running out of space in my scraproom to stack papers so in order to spare some space for my monthly collections of papers I am making more minis than ever. And nothing is better than doing more minis in a series you really like.The green feather is fixed with a green staple even though I have put some glue dots under it also to secure it won't fly away. It has been a while since I saw this tutorial on Debi Devitt's site Making mini scrapbooks

This tutorial was done by Jaine Drake from the blog Confessions of a craftaholic .

For the cover I have used a colored chipboard and distressed them. The small letters in the front are wooden letters I colored with brush markers. As a final ambellishment I glued some small flowers after stamping the border of the chipboard.

Mini tin Family

I was inspired to make this small album after seeing a video of Christine Crawford on http://www.monkeysee.com/ . I found this very small empty tin that used to hold pins. I covered the front with distressed paper and stamped the letter " F " for Family.

I have used a page from and old book to use as a theme on my mini album then made and accordion hold with a ribbon

I also covered the inside of the tin and the back.

The box story

This was a plain box that I paientd with red acrilyc paint and then glued cardstock paper on it. The paper is stamped with mounted stained stamp from the Memoirs Collection of Club Scrap and was made with The Story stencil from the same collection.

I added the hinges on one side of the box and also decorate inside with cardstock paper.

Dominoes

It has been a longtime since I have altered some dominoes. Well I spent the whole day of yesterday altering dominoes and trying some techniques. Most of them are covered with resine and some are waiting to be finished.These sdominoes are covered first eith alcohol ink then I stamped them and finaly covered them with resine. The butterfly is painted with Sharpie color.

The upper right domino is glazed with DG which is not as thick as the resin. When I used alcohol ink and sometimes even shrpie marker I use them with the domino as is with no bleach or sanding process.

Very shinny.In this particular domino I have colored the butterfly with sharpie marker and alcohol ink for the base. Most of the followins are inchies square stampsThese are collages

Another Cd Mailer added to the collection. I admit that I am addicted to them. Too bad I cannot found them here but I would have made a lot more If I could. Papers and embellishments are either from Club Scrap or from Paper Wishes. Closure is made with a key holder I found in the trash (hehe!)

I was browsing some old videos and I saw one from
Dawn's stamping thoughts and I saw the one she did for the scrolling card with a peace of plastic paper bag. I was inspired to make the following book.

I used the paper from the Birds of a feather collection of Club Scrap and I kept it as simple as possible as I was not sure where I was going. It came out pretty well despite the fact it has a lot of flaws. I did about three of them and the last ones are much better then this one.

Mini red accordeon

It has been a while since I have updated my blog. I have been without internet service for about 2 weeks now and it will take another while to have it fix. Anyhow in the meadtime I have been doing few things that I want to share with you.

I have had this small box for a while - a gift from my mother - and finally decided to embellish it. First I painted the box with red acrilyc paint then cover it with paper. I bought a pack of colored pins that I used also.

Inside is embellished just as the outside. At the last moment I made the small accordeon book to fit in the box

I used different words and letters from just right stampers auto stamped and the letters also.

The accordeaon mini inside can hold 14 small pictures.

Key of love canvas

It has been a while since I updated my blog. The last week was really ectic at work. I am bringing my last altered canvas. I called it "Key of love". First I sprayed the canvas with mist but as it was taking forever to dry ( I waited 2 day and still...), so I think it would be clever to heat dry with my heat gun, but let me tell you that it was a...VERY BAD IDEA.

I sprayed a purple color and after I heat gun the canvases they turned into an ugly brownish color. It looked dirty so I colored them again but this time with alcohol ink. I stapled a ribbon all around and used a white textured cardstock and rubbed alcohol ink on it also to put as the back ground. The words are wooden tiles I took from a word search game and I colored tem with alcohol too.

For te fron and back cover I used my nestabilities to be used as mate for the pictures. I also used wooden letters altered with alcohol and glued them.

Canvas window book

Have you ever browsed Yogi's blog ? Well if you haven't then you should. After spending hours viewing her blog, I was inspired to do this small mini book. using Club scrap paper and the stamp from Birds of a feather collection" and I watercolored the birds.

But the beauty of the book lies in the spine embellished with beads, and the window that allow you to see the book signatures inside.While I was sewing the signature I realized if I wanted to add more I would have to cut another lenght of thread and make a knot which I did not want to do. Then I was " oh! yes, why not" and I did. What? Well on one side I put the signatures. and on the other side I glued a canvas. The canvas was sprayed with mist and then brushed with a sponge. I stitched few seed beads on it and add a small heart charm. I just love it and I am on a roll to do much more with some variations. Backcover Sayonara!!!

I received the following project on the Memoir collection of Club Scrap and finally made it last night. It is very unusual of me that I reproduce a project as is in a video or tutorial. I always change something or alterate it a way to make it my own.

I was thinking of making something else with the cut outs but due to the format I could not think bout anything else but the swatch book. or maybe I was out of inspiration to think about anything else.

Box for boy

This little box collected dust for about two years. Since the day I bought it two years ago . Yesterday I decided to embellish it and it took about an hour to do so.

First I painted part of the box in blue acrylic paint. The stripe cardstock is from DCWV as well as the printed paper used inside. On the cardstock I glued blue baby boy ribbon . My new nestabilities came very handy. I cut a green one wich border is distresses with orange ink and a smaller one cut in white and distressed with blue ink.

Inside the cover is a sticker quote.

I will probably put a small mini-book inside made with envelopes or coasters.

Canvas sweet girl

My sister bought me about 15 canvases in different sizes. My first project was with a small one and this is what I did.Front was painted with acrilic ( I mixed a red with some white paint) . Then I stamped a piece of cardstock from DCWV, cut a small shape with a nestabilitie diecut. The letters came in a silver color, I heat embossed with Ranger powder and add a small ribbon in the letter G and 2 small buttons.

Inside is stampedBack and front cover. I have used some metal hinges.

Apothecary book

Another minibook made with cd folders. I am totally in love with those books. They are easy, classy and fun to make. After I choose the papers and take all measurements and cut everything to size it took me about 20 minutes to assemble the book.
This time I have used the Apothecary Collection. The colors are bright but yet with soft tones.Cover is matted with red wine paper and stamped.

I have used the same paper for both hinges by mistake but when I realized that it was already glued so I left it as is.

Instead of having all tags in one folder and then little tab cuts in another, I have shuffle them an placed them randomly on the folder pages.

For the hinge spine I used ribbon fabric that are well secured on the front and back using extra strengh tape and then place the book cover. Same procedure for the ribbon closure.

Memoir book

I have received several CD folder as a gift from a dear fellow scrapper and I made the following mini book with them.
The papers are from the Memoir Collection of Club Scrap and only used the plain brown, printed green and printed white. I hand made two hinges for the spine with scrap paper and few brads. The closure is a regular clasp bought at the store with 2 ribbons to attach it.

Then the inside pages are matted with the same papers. I used a two-side paper to cut my own enveloppes using the enveloper from Paper Wishes and add flowers on the envelopes. I also use the stamp from the Memoir Collection on the brown paper matted on green.

I stamped on the remaining scrap to make some embellishments.Then comes the first hinge page done with the green printed paper form the Memoirs Collection.

Then the second mailer decorated with small rectangle cuts matted, stamped and glued on the book Another hinge page On the last folder I use a sixxix die in the cuttlebug to cut the tags.

And at last the backcover

Memoirs Folders

I saw this tutorial on youtube and I beleive it is from the owner of the blog 2worldswings but I do not know her name. Anyhow I saw this tutorial and I wanted to give it a try just because I have about 200 folders of all color on my shelves beggint to be altered into mini books.

It requested 2 file folders I have used different brand of paper and the memoir stamps is from Club Scrap. The hinges were stamped also just with the swirl part of the stamp.The printed papers used inside are awsome. I have had them for about 2 years now and I forgot that I did. They are from Marvella K design I think - not sure - and all the papers in the pack are coordinated.

I am bringing another album made with the paper from the Concrete Jungle collection of Club Scrap. It is a 6x6 format with hard cover and 2 binder rings. I particualrly like the paper on the cover. I have just add the ribbon and a tag. This paper stands out for itself.

Concrete bag album

It's been a long time since I wanted to make a paper bag album. Although it might sound unbeleivable I had found no paper bag to do it. Last friday I made a stop to a super market ( very much away from home) and boom I found lunch bags. I grabbed two because I am sure I might never found them again in Haiti.

The concrete jungle collection from Club Scrap was my favorite to do lunch bag album. I covered the front with the plain gray paper and put 2 stickers from the sticker sheet and two tags.

It has been a while since I used my Zutter binder. Not that I would not use it more often but everytime I order the O rings (they are always out of order). Well I bound this album with a 1" ring but actually a 1 1/2" would fit best.

The inside pages are made with paper and covered with cardstock and few embellishments, stickers and tags.

This is my monthly project kit from Paper Wishes. There are 2 projects in each box. They are very outstanding and you receive papers - cardstocks - embellishments and a sheet instruction. I did the first one and it turned out pretty good. The only thing I changed from the kit is the paper cover. I used a lighter brown color than the one in the kit. This is the last swap I have been involved in with the yahoo mini-book group. I had to make 19 tags. I bought those tags in a local store. Their original color is white and I have inked the background with alcohol ink. The tag has texture of fabric fiber but it is paper. I love them.I have used at least 3 or more colors in most of them.By the way, I have tried to heat emboss them but not only the tag shrinks but it wrinkles also because the tag has a coat of wax on it.

Swirl moments

The second try with the template was much better as I used a more study white cardstock bought at a local office supply store. The swirl stamp came from my monthly stamp club from PW. I used two thin piece of ribbon to make the closure A Bulldog clip plus few beads.

The cover paper is from DCWV and the mix with two different pinks from CS is awsome. I had a chance to play more with the color I chose for this album than the first one.

Few inside pages. Lots of square rectangles with notes and phrases.

Other pages made with enveloppes to put either memorabilias or photos.And for the last flaps pop-ups I used 2 medium tags and a small one

Milestone of moments

Since I saw Tricia Morris on the popo Fizz book made with cd mailers I have been wanting to make them but did not have the cd mailers. Someone send me a template and I have tried to cut my own mailers and this is how they came out.

For the first book I have used 3 mailers made with clubscrap cardstock. The yellow clip is altered and the small square is from an inchie stamp. The green mesh was actually a white stuff I found in a hardware store which use is for electrical system (what do they know) I bought a roll and cut a piece that I run into the sticher machine after I colored it with a MU ink.

Well be aware that the look is totally nice but it still feels sticky. I have to found a way to use it without having that problem.

The first inside page are made with small rectangle of different cardstock which can be use for photos, notes, journaling etc...

I left the second page empty as I want to stick the photos directly to the flaps pop ups
I have used another piece of mesh to textured the small enveloppes.

Vintage Picture

It does not happened very often that I work with canvas. But I have quit a few in a box that I have decided use. They are of different sizes but I am starting with the smallest ones.
First I have very lightly inked the canvas with distress inked and as the photo of my friend and I (when we were in College about 19 years ago) and it is kind of a sepia picture so naturally vintage came to mind.
I used corrugated paper - vintage button - page from and old book sprayed with mist - few charms.
The piece of paper that says Best Friends was done in the computer and distressed to gave the look of old and a clip.
The second canvas fits for a kid. Subtle and light colors, baby charms, a metal tag and two altered mosaic. Sayonara!!!

Here I come with three more mini maze books. I was looking for to bind 3 minis together but I have not yet found the way to do so. Then I decided to put them in a mini box.

Accordion book inside the box: front view For the front cover I stamped the same phrase several times and applied more inked and more pressure to one phrase to make the contrast and add a ribbon. This accordion book was the first one I made from the rap sheet. And I added some more flash card anthe other side of the accordion so I automatically doubled the quantity of pages in the mini book.

The back cover is as simple as it can be.

Accordion flash books

As soon as I saw the small accordion book made with flash cards in the scrap rap sheet of the Concrete jungle collection...I fall in love with it and right on the spot I made two of them with their boxes.

The box is very easy to make - it took me about 10 minutes to cut and assemble. I used the same color as in the book itself.

In the back cover of the box I just stamped the" handmade with love"

The spine of the box done with a purple piece of paper.

Of course I made the book first and then I made the box. A piece of white cardstock stamped in black is the sole embellishment of the front cover of the book.

The accordion book has a blue ribbon for closure.I have used a flash card to embellish the back cover just as the ones used inside the books. The word "wonder" is from one of my Just Right Stamper's sets.And finally a picture of the book inside the boxSayonara!!!

Ceramic books

I bought some ceramic tiles and decided to make a book cover with them just as I did with the Dominoes. I used 9 tiles for the front cover and another 9 for the back.I inked them with alcohol and stamped with inches in black staz on. As the las step I covered the tiles with some epoxy resine and let it dry overnight. As usual I stitched my signatures and glued the first and last page to the covers.

Front and back cover seen together.Actually all stamped are the same but I reverse the color of the front to make the back or vice versa. This mini as well was done with ceramic tiles. Inked them but instead of stamping on the tiles. I took a printed card stock and put on the top of the tiles before spreading the epoxy resine. The cover says:"it's me"The signaturesThe backcover with his details. I beleive these pre-cut came from a clubscrap collection. Sayonara!!!

I have finally started filling in the box by making the 4 cards for each one of them. I have roughly counted about 18 boxes ( 4x4) and I need 4 cards for each meaning 72 cards at least and I have yet to count the boxes that are other sizes.

I need to have them complete by mid october. Someone would think I have enough time and I would agree if the cards were the only things I had to do. But I got a long "to do " list wating for me. Anyhow, I have completed 3 boxes and here is the first one. First card

More 4x4 boxes

I have made several boxes lately. These boxes can hold four 4"x 4" cards and also 4 enveloppes.

I stamped the box before closing it. It is much more eaiser.

The letters are cut from an alphabet die in the cuttlebug and I painted them with a red brush marker.

Another box covered with three different papers that I layered next each other.

Layers! I am getting fondle of layers lately. I like the dimension it gives to the paper.

I received the Personel shopper from Paper wishes every other month. I have been having these papers for a while so I have decided to follow the instruction on the PW rap sheet and did some cards. This one is for a Princess birthday and the carusell on mounting tape looks cute.With a darker color inside the card looks more vibrant. A card for a motherInside the cardOn thing I like about Paper Wishes is there capability of making the most out of nothing. Their creativity in cardmaking never cease to surprise and amaze me. Christmas is just few month away but very early this morning, around 3:am as I could not sleep due to a bad cough I went downstairs to my craft room and started making my christmas list. I have yet counted 36 relative/family/friend to gave cards to. Sooon after the list was done or almost anyway I started making christmas cards and I already have two of them ready this early morning.

Both stamp are from whipper snapper. They are colored with Sharpie and then cut and finally put on mounting tape which gave a 3D look.In this card I have used several layers of paper in different color but that would fit the strip paper I have put in the background.Sayonara!!!

I saw the tutorial for this CD holder on Scor-Pal. I think it's super cool and easy peasy. I used a paper from Club Scrap and the letters are from a die/cuttlebug and I run them through my xyron machine.

I have yet to put a CD inside or else maybe so far I just put a card

Four watercolored card

My shelves are full of watercolor paper. I love the texture so much that I use it for a lot of techniques other than watercolor.

The collection from Club Scrap called Pure and Simple came with this very long stem that looks elegant and fancy. Instead of using ink I painted with brush markers diretcly on the stamp with different color and stamped on the paper. The " thinking of you" stamp came in the very same collection.

Did not used watercolor on this particular card but stamp the background several times with the "Delight" stamp from Pure and simple also.

On this card I not only used the technique on the flower but also on the title of the card. the orange ribbon is a left over from my mother's quilt fabric.

This last card is the same technique used on the others. The stamp I made myself with my JustRite making stamp kit ( That I should defenetely use more often)

Four embossed cards

Between a mini book and another I usually make some cards just to get my mind off the books and I get to clear my idea by making cards and I have made so many of them that I have a box full. I have embossed the same die four times and tried different techniques on the same design and surface. The possibilities are endless.

On the first embossed card I have stamped the card with Versamark and then heat embossed it with red distress powder

A sponge and colored chalk were used on the second embossed card

I painted the flowers with brush markers on that cardOn the last embossed card I left it blank and cut the "thanks" from my cuttlebug and glued it on the card
